TERMS OF SERVICE

Version 2026-11 · Last updated November 6, 2026 · Evolved Interiors LLC dba The Buffers

About these terms

These terms cover repairs booked with Evolved Interiors LLC dba The Buffers (“The Buffers,” “we,” “us”) and your use of getthebuffers.com and our customer portal. When you approve a price in the portal, you agree to the version of these terms shown there, and we save that version with your repair. Prices shown on this website are a guide; your price is the one shown on your approved repair.

Your price

We price each repair from the photos you send, unit by unit: a spot repair (the first spot, plus an add-on for each extra spot) or a full polish (the whole countertop resurfaced and polished, which covers everything your fingernail glides over, plus an add-on for anything it catches, seams, deep stains, vanities and extra area), whichever costs you less. Your price shows how it adds up, covers the spots listed, and is the amount on your invoice unless you approve a change.

If the damage is different on site

Photos don’t always show everything. If what we find is different from the photos (for example, a scratch that’s deep enough to need a fill, a crack that’s longer, or a spot that wasn’t in the photos), we show you before doing any extra work and confirm the difference at our add-on price. You can approve it, keep the original scope, or reschedule. Nothing extra is charged without your OK.

Arrival windows

The time window on your booking is when we arrive, not when we finish. Each booking also shows how long we expect to be on site. We text when we’re on the way.

Access

You give us a way in (a key, a code, or a person to meet) and an on-site contact. Nobody needs to be present if we have access. We lock up and return keys the way you tell us to.

Rescheduling and cancelling

Before you approve a price, you can cancel a request any time at no charge. After you approve, you can reschedule or cancel free up to 24 hours before your arrival window. Inside 24 hours, a $95 trip fee applies.

If we can’t get in

If we arrive and can’t get in, we call your on-site contact. If we still can’t get in, we reschedule and the first time is free. After that, a $95 trip fee applies.

Payment

Invoices go to the billing email on your account with the repair details (plus unit numbers and any PO for properties) and the before-and-after photos. You can pay online by card or bank transfer (ACH), or by check. Payment is due on the terms shown on your account. If an invoice is more than 30 days past due, we may pause new bookings until it’s settled.

What a repair looks like

Our repairs are made to blend in with the surrounding stone at a normal viewing distance. Stone varies, and color and pattern match can differ from one spot to the next, so we can’t promise an exact match on every surface. A repair restores the damaged spot; it doesn’t change the rest of the countertop.

Make it right

If you aren’t happy with how a repair blends in, tell us on the repair page within 30 days of the visit. We’ll come back and rework it at no charge.

Burns and deep stains

Heat damage (especially on quartz) and some deep stains can lighten a lot without disappearing completely. We tell you what to expect before we start, and the make-it-right promise covers redoing the work, not complete removal.

Visits outside our area

Visits outside our regular service area add a per-visit charge, shown on your price before you approve.

Existing conditions

We repair the spots listed on your repair. We aren’t responsible for problems that were already there and weren’t part of the job, such as loose sinks, failing seams, cracked substrate, or cabinets under the counter.

Aftercare

Keep heavy items, hot pans and water off repaired spots for 6 hours, use the counter normally after 24 hours, and clean the spots with mild soap and water for the first 3 days.

Photos

We keep the before-and-after photos with your repair so you always have a record. We may share photos of the countertop itself to show our work, never unit numbers, addresses or people. Tell us if you’d rather we didn’t.

Responsibility

We carry general liability insurance and can send a certificate on request. Our responsibility for any repair is limited to the amount paid for that repair.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we post the new version here. Changes apply to repairs you approve after the update.

Using our website and portal

Please give us accurate information and keep your portal password private. Don’t misuse the site or try to access accounts that aren’t yours. Our name, logo, photos and website content belong to us.

Texts and calls

By giving us your phone number, you agree that we may text and call you about your requests and repairs. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. See our Privacy Policy.

Texas law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If a problem comes up, please contact us first; most things can be fixed with a call.
